Product Reviews
Izziwotnot's Bailey Sleigh cot bed isn't the most affordable but it's stylish and well-made. It's easy to put together, even though it does take two people, and it is beautiful in any nursery. Our panel loved the dark wood and the dowel sides, and it's robust enough to be used until your baby turns toddler. It also complies with British safety standards. The depth isn't that deep that your child can get out, and the distance between the slats shouldn't be more than 65mm. This should stop their head from getting trapped. You'll also have to buy a mattress, which is priced at a cost of PS88.
The cot stands out because of its sleigh-shaped design. It's also very easy to get your baby in and out, which is a big plus. It's a bit more expensive than other cot-beds however our panel believed it was worth it due to the design and durability.
This cot bed comes with two different walnut or country pine finishes and is suitable from birth. It comes with three mattress heights, meaning you can start your baby off with the base high up to make it easier to get to them throughout the day and at the night, and then lower it as they increase in height. It comes with teething rails that safeguard your child's furniture and gums. When your child is out of the cot bed it is able to be easily converted into a junior bed and then a sofa.
Silver Cross' westport design is another cot with an incredibly solid feel and constructed to last. It can be used from birth as a cot, and later as a toddler bed, and finally as a junior bed. (Toddler guard rail is sold separately). It was a little challenging for our panel members to convert the cot into a bed but their other halves said it was simple and took less than 5 minutes. It's also a tad more expensive than other cots, but it's the kind of style that you'd probably want to keep for your children as they grow.
